Daniel Levy ‘forced to back new Tottenham manager’ after £650m reveal
Daniel Levy has no excuse not to spend big at Tottenham this summer after a new financial reveal.
Ange Postecoglou, unsurprising to most, is under huge pressure at Tottenham.
The Lilywhites still have a chance to end a disappointing season on a high when they take on Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).
However, regardless of the outcome, it is highly likely that Postecoglou leaves Tottenham.
As a result, a new manager would need to be appointed in North London, and after a fresh £650million reveal, Levy has no excuse not to equip his next hire with the funds needed to start the new season on a positive note.

Levy‘s net worth sees £200million boost
Levy has a reputation for being a frugal spender, with Spurs fans often frustrated by a lack of investment under the 62-year-old’s chairmanship.
Fans are constantly protesting against Levy and ENIC, while calling for Tottenham to splash the cash.
Net Spend | 2024/25 | 2023/24 | 2022/23 | 2021/22 | 2020/21 | Total |
Tottenham | £-117.79m | £-119.33m | £-117m | £-50.8m | £-80.57m | £-472.31 |
According to the Sunday Times Rich List 2025, which was published on Friday (16 May), Levy is now the 236th richest person in the UK, with his net worth standing at £650m, a £200m boost from the previous year.
As a result, it is clear that Tottenham are making more than enough money if their chairman is seeing this kind of personal financial boost, which leaves little room for excuses when it comes to a lack of investment.

Levy must back a new manager
If Postecoglou’s adventure at the North London club must be cut short, then Levy must financially provide for his new appointment.
Tottenham have been linked with several managers, with Crystal Palace head coach Oliver Glasner now emerging as the favourite to replace Postecoglou.
With Levy benefiting financially, there is little excuse for Tottenham not to invest this summer, especially as Postecoglou looks likely to be sacked.
If Tottenham do not want to see a repeat of their Premier League campaign next season, Levy must give a new manager the resources to rebuild.
