West Ham told to sack Graham Potter over public Tottenham comments
Graham Potter has angered West Ham supporters with a comment made about Tottenham’s progression in the Europa League.
West Ham and Tottenham have both endured very similar seasons, though for all of the wrong reasons, especially domestically.
The Hammers sit 17th while Spurs occupy 16th, showcasing just how miserable a domestic season it has been for both sides, though Tottenham’s has attracted the most attention.
With that said, Europa League success remains a possibility for Tottenham after their first-leg victory over Bodo/Glimt in a game that led to Potter making a remark about the North London club, and it certainly didn’t go down well at the London Stadium.

Tottenham have Potter’s support in the Europa League
While it isn’t the biggest, West Ham and Tottenham certainly have a rivalry, and very often do you see custodians of one side wishing the best for the other, but in this case, that did happen.
Speaking to the press ahead of their clash with Tottenham, Potter said: “[Spurs] have done well in Europe and hopefully they can finish the job and get into the final.”
Not only could Ange Postecoglou’s fate be decided in the next few weeks, but the same may happen with Potter, with West Ham fans fuming at the comment made.
Oh my God I wish he would just shut up! I can’t listening to him already.

Europa League success is a must for Tottenham
A season without European football would be a disaster for Spurs, and unless they can win the Europa League, that is the fate that awaits them next campaign.
Opponent | Result |
Wolves (A) | 4-2 L |
Frankfurt (A) | 0-1 W |
Nottingham Forest (H) | 1-2 L |
Liverpool (A) | 5-1 L |
Bodo/Glimt (H) | 3-1 W |
Barring a remarkable turnaround, a final between Tottenham and Manchester United looks to be on the cards, and given the seasons that both clubs have had, it’s fair to say that it has ruffled a few feathers.
There can be no excuses now for Postecoglou, who simply needs to find a way to get his side over the line and win a trophy at the end of the campaign.
