Vinai Venkatesham hailed after ‘brilliant’ Tottenham announcement

Vinai Venkatesham has already begun calling the shots at Tottenham.

There would have been slight scepticism among fans when Venkatesham was appointed Tottenham Chief Executive Officer, given he held the same role at rivals Arsenal. However, the 41-year-old has made a positive impact since his appointment.

Venkatesham made it clear that his three main areas of focus are the fans, football and staff, and it appears as though he has already got to work following a new official announcement.

Tottenham confirm return of the Bill Nicholson Gates

Tottenham fans have already credited Venkatesham for several noticeable changes in the way Spurs now interact with their supporters.

And fans have once again praised their CEO after Tottenham announced on Wednesday (2 July) that the famous Bill Nicholson Gates will be returning this summer.

Spurs supporters jubilantly took to social media to praise Venkatesham, to whom they attributed the decision.

Tottenham have several more changes to make

While the return of the Nicholson Gates will no doubt please several supporters, Tottenham need to do much more to remain in their good graces.

Indeed, Levy has come under scrutiny in recent weeks for Spurs’ approach to the summer transfer window. Frank’s side will play in the UEFA Champions League next season, and their current squad is not considered strong enough.

There was temporary jubilation when Levy made clear his aim to win the Premier League and Champions League. However, that was short-lived as Spurs have struggled to sign senior players.

Indeed, Tottenham targets Jarrad Branthwaite and Antoine Semenyo have signed new contracts with their respective clubs, which has once again made fans question Levy’s ability to lure players to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Despite this, there are still several players who are on Spurs’ radar this summer. However, Levy will need to secure their signatures soon.
