Venkatesham hailed after ‘brilliant’ announcement ahead of Tottenham v Man United
Vinai Venkatesham appears to already be making quite the impression ahead of officially starting in his new role as Tottenham Chief Executive Officer.
Having previously held the same position at Arsenal, Venkatesham will take over as Spurs’ CEO this summer.
The North London club are set for a host of changes in the coming months following a disappointing domestic campaign, which has left Ange Postecoglou’s future in limbo.
And although he is yet to officially begin his role, it seems as though Venkatesham is already making his presence felt.
Tottenham fans to receive free limited-edition scarves in Bilbao
While speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham previously suggested that Venkatesham was already pulling the strings at Tottenham after noticeable improvements in the communications department.
Fans are expected to travel in their thousands to watch Tottenham take on Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).

In preparation for the big day, THFC Flags confirmed via X (19 May) that they will be providing supporters with free limited-edition scarves to pick up in Bilbao on Wednesday.
The announcement was hailed by fans, including one who suggested that Venkatesham may be the brains behind the operation.
Tottenham have spoiled supporters ahead of the final
In addition to the scarves, the Lilywhites have already shown their commitment to supporters after a screening of the final was announced at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It was initially announced that additional screens would not be placed on the pitch as a result of the Premier League fixture against Brighton on Sunday (25 May), a decision criticised by Spurs supporters.
However, the North London club have since undertaken a popular U-turn.
Furthermore, in an official statement on Sunday (18 May), the North London Club announced that the players will wear the traditional all-Lilywhite European strip for the match against United.
Thus, days before history is set to be made, Tottenham is unified in the eyes of the club, players and supporters.
