Tottenham fans think Igor Tudor is throwing first game vs Arsenal after ‘ridiculous’ call

Igor Tudor’s era at Tottenham is beginning, albeit it will only last for a few months.

A first match in charge against bitter rivals Arsenal is not an easy opening to life in N17, as the Croatian aims to bring Spurs out of the relegation battle.

Tudor has had plenty of time on the training ground as he geared up to select his first starting lineup at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

However, not every supporter is happy with the choices that have been made, with one selection causing quite the stir online.

Tottenham fans question Igor Tudor’s Randal Kolo Muani decision

Randal Kolo Muani is a familiar player to Tudor, who managed the Frenchman at Juventus for the final months of last season.

The now-Tottenham forward performed excellently under the Croatian head coach, but his time in North London has been far from providing the same outcome.

Muani has yet to score in Premier League action, and that makes it no wonder why fans have been left bemused by his selection over Dominic Solanke.

Taking to X, one supporter stated: “Either Solanke is injured or Tudor is deliberately out to lose his first game by playing the utterly useless Muani. Ridiculous selection.”

Others have joined in with the lack of confidence in the 27-year-old leading the line in such a big game like the North London Derby.

It is clear from Tottenham fans that they are concerned about the decision, as one supporter joined in on the reaction via X, saying: “A back three with Kolo Muani as our only out-and-out attacking player hmmmm.”

Of course, many fans would have been hoping to see Solanke leading the line, as the Englishman has been more effective in front of goal this season.

However, Tudor may have been forced to make this decision.

Why is Dominic Solanke benched by Igor Tudor?

Solanke was likely benched by Tudor due to the fact he has been dealing with a sore throat throughout the week as confirmed by the head coach.

The illness may lead to him being unable to take part in the pre-match preparations ahead of the North London Derby.

Tudor, who has worked with Kolo Muani before, presumably feels more confident utilising a player that has been able to prepare properly, even if supporters disagree.

Kolo Muani is riding on this final chance with Tottenham fans, who have grown impatient with the loanee.
