Tottenham fans share ‘UEFA bias for Manchester United’ already after new image

Tottenham are one game away from breaking their long wait for silverware after easing past Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League semi-finals.

Ange Postecoglou’s side went into the Thursday tie with a 3-1 lead over their Norwegian counterparts, and picked up another 2-0 win to cruise through to Bilbao.

With a place in the final secured, many fans are hopeful that the trophy drought at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium can finally end.

However, supporters now insist that there is a bias against Tottenham after the Europa League trophy was spotted at Manchester United and Old Trafford.

Tottenham fans fume after Old Trafford developments

While Spurs aimed to reach the Europa League final against Bodo/Glimt, in England, the other semi-final was taking place.

Manchester United hosted Athletic Bilbao in the second leg of the tie, with the Red Devils being 3-0 up on aggregate, going on to make it 7-1 in total on the night.

Fans attending the match also had a chance to see the illustrious trophy before the match as it was brought out onto the pitch before kick-off.

However, Spurs fans were quick to point out that this did not happen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week, which has now caused outrage and sparked conspiracies of bias online.

Tottenham have a chance to prove doubters wrong in the Europa League

While bringing the trophy to Old Trafford may have just been a bad PR move from UEFA, it has shown that many people online from neutral clubs do not believe that Spurs will win the competition.

Many comments have insisted that the cup will be returning to Manchester later this month, but previous records suggest otherwise.

However, Spurs have a chance to prove doubters wrong. While their Premier League form has been terrible, in Europe, the squad has been getting the job done.

On top of that, they have beaten United three times this season already.

Winning the Europa League and ending their trophy drought would show that even in their worst form for years, Tottenham are still capable of success.
