Morgan Gibbs-White has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.

Thomas Frank has already seen his squad bolstered this month through the arrival of Mohammed Kudus, and they were looking to follow that up with the signing of Gibbs-White after a fee was said to have been agreed with Nottingham Forest.

However, that proposed move stalled when Forest made a complaint about the way the deal was arranged, with Gibbs-White now stuck in limbo.

There will still be interest there as Tottenham look to strengthen their squad even further, with new images surfacing of the midfielder.

Forest post picture of Gibbs-White ahead of training

As it stands, the proposed deal for Gibbs-White to move to North London is off, though that could change at any given moment if the issues surrounding the deal can be resolved.

Forest are believed to be considering legal action over the deal, and as a result, the midfielder has returned to training, having been left out of their kit-reveal video, and Spurs fans have taken a liking to the colours he's decided to wear.

Gibbs-White could transform Tottenham

James Maddison will be the last person who wants to hear this, but Gibbs-White is the type of player who could completely change Tottenham, and for the better.

His direct style of play from midfield is what Spurs were missing for a large part of the campaign last time out, and without his addition, will almost certainly be what they miss this season as well.

If this deal goes through, it will be a major coup for Frank's side, who will undoubtedly be looking to add several more players before the new campaign gets underway in August when they play host to Scott Parker's newly promoted Burnley.
