Tottenham fans mock what Arsenal supporters did in PSG clash – ‘Pathetic’

Tottenham Hotspur fans were not impressed by what the Arsenal supporters attempted to do during their fixture against PSG.

The Gunners hosted the Ligue 1 outfit in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday (29 April).

It was the biggest game of the season for Mikel Arteta’s side, and the Arsenal manager had been publicly pushing for the fans to get behind the squad as much as possible.

He wanted a rocking atmosphere at the Emirates Stadium, and while the fans tried to achieve that, it didn’t translate.

Arsenal produced an underwhelming performance on all fronts

It was ultimately a night to forget for the Premier League giants as they lost the game 1-0 courtesy of a fourth-minute goal from Ousmane Dembele, who caught the Gunners sleeping early on.

Arsenal were never able to respond to that, despite having the home advantage, and will now have a lot of work to do in France during the second leg to try and secure a place in the final to salvage their season.

If they’re unable to turn things around, then it will mark a trophyless season for Arsenal, which Tottenham might end up trumping.

The Lilywhites are also in a European semi-final this week as they face Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of the Europa League semi-finals on Thursday (1 May).

Ange Postecoglou’s side will be hoping to get things started in a more impressive manner than their London rivals did, and the fans will play a big part in that.

Spurs are notorious for their epic pre-match displays at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and that’s something Arsenal fans tried to create on Tuesday night.

Tottenham fans were unimpressed by Arsenal’s efforts

Arsenal put together a pre-match banner to try and create a great backdrop as the players entered the pitch, but that’s something that fell short of the mark.

The flag was very small when compared to the size of the stand, while it showcased a real lac of creativity and flair.

Arsenal supporters were disappointed online, and Spurs fans took the opportunity to mock them for their efforts in such a big game.
