Tottenham fans ‘hurt’ by Harry Kane admission ahead of Europa League final
Harry Kane is usually a popular man in North London, but his latest comments haven’t gone down well among Tottenham supporters.
Kane has enjoyed a successful stay with Bayern Munich since departing from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning the first major trophy of his career this season in the form of the Bundesliga.
While naturally disappointed, most supporters have never resented Kane for leaving Tottenham, and were happy when he finally ended his career-long wait for a trophy, as was Son Heung-min.
However, now it looks as though the England captain has upset fans with his recent admission.

Kane reveals plans for UEFA Europa League final
Tottenham will take on Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday (21 May).
Kane previously suggested he would be watching the clash between Tottenham and United. However, his recent comments previewing the final haven’t been received well.
All-time Stats | Matches | Goals | Assists | Minutes |
Harry Kane | 435 | 280 | 63 | 34.850′ |
While speaking to Sky Sports (19 May), Kane said, “I’m obviously wishing [Spurs] all the best.
“I still have a lot of friends there in the players and the staff, I know how much it would mean to them, how much it would mean to the fans. I’ll be keeping an eye on it for sure”.
However, a lot of Spurs supporters were unhappy with the lack of passion displayed in Kane’s answer.
Kane should support Tottenham in Bilbao
With the Bundesliga under wraps and the holiday season soon approaching, supporters would be delighted if Kane made an appearance in Bilbao, even if this might be unlikely.
Former Spurs star Gareth Bale has already been confirmed as part of the TNT Sports coverage for the final, and it would be a marvel to see both players in the flesh on Wednesday, as Spurs look to end their 17-year wait for a trophy.
Despite his comments, Kane continues to be one of, if not the biggest, legend to play for Tottenham, having departed from North London as Spurs’ all-time record goalscorer.
There is no doubt that he will continue to be appreciated by the North London club and everyone associated for years to come. However, he could guarantee he will always have a place in Spurs fans’ hearts by cheering the North London side on against United.
