Tottenham fans furious with Levy as Gibbs-White alternative emerges – ‘Coward’
Daniel Levy is in hot water with Tottenham fans once again as an alternative for Morgan Gibbs-White emerges.
The saga concerning Gibbs-White has been a rollercoaster since the beginning, and Spurs supporters are beginning to grow tired.
There seems to be a growing consensus that the Nottingham Forest midfielder might not arrive at Hotspur Way. However, most fans would be content with a suitable replacement.
Although it appears Levy will need to come up with a better plan, as news of one potential alternative has not been received well by the Spurs faithful.

Tottenham fans fume at Harvey Elliott links
Harvey Elliott was tipped for great things when Liverpool signed him as a teenager from Fulham.
However, the midfielder has failed to become a consistent starter for the Reds, and with Florian Wirtz arriving at Anfield this summer, it is logical that he would want to move on.
Club | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Liverpool | 147 | 15 | 20 |
As reported by Paul O’Keefe via X (24 July), Elliott is on a list of targets at Tottenham.
In a follow-up post, O’Keefe suggested that Elliott would likely be signed if Tottenham do not agree on a deal for Gibbs-White. However, Spurs supporters were not happy about this, with one fan labelling Levy a “coward” for attempting to sign a cheaper alternative.
Tottenham should not sign Elliott
Tottenham fans are most likely watching with disappointment as other Premier League sides welcome new signings.
The Lilywhites started strong by bringing in Mohammed Kudus, but the saga with Gibbs-White has seemed to bring transfer activity to a gradual halt. Meanwhile, Liverpool have announced the arrival of Hugo Ekitike and are reportedly still weighing up a move for Alexander Isak.
Spurs supporters want to win even more next season, and most believe the current squad may not have enough quality to compete.
As a result, many see Elliott as a downgrade to Gibbs-White, who was one of the best midfielders in the Premier League last season. If the Lilywhites cannot facilitate his transfer, then Eberechi Eze and Xavi Simons would be better options.
Eze scored the winner against Manchester City in the FA Cup final to win Crystal Palace their first-ever major trophy, while Simons has cemented himself as the main man at RB Leipzig since his arrival.
Therefore, Tottenham should consider both of these alternatives before Elliott enters the picture.
