Tottenham fans furious with Frank as defender made available for transfer

Thomas Frank has been given a taster of what happens when Tottenham fans are left dissatisfied.

Things seemed to be finally looking up for Frank and Tottenham.

The Lilywhites have looked strong during their pre-season fixtures, Mohammed Kudus has hit the ground running, and the club have just welcomed Joao Palhinha on loan.

However, behind the smoke and mirrors lies a transfer decision that fans are not happy about.

Tottenham fans react to potential Luka Vuskovic loan

Tottenham fans finally got to see new signing Luka Vuskovic take to the pitch against Reading – and it seems they liked what they saw.

The young defender moved with a level of confidence and fluidity rare for a player of his age. As well as assisting the opener, Vuskovic scored a goal with a thunderous strike.

While it remains too early to be definite, the display indicated that Spurs may have a world-class talent. However, it now seems that supporters will have to enjoy him away from Hotspur Way next season.

As reported by Football London on Monday (4 August), Vuskovic is one of eight Tottenham players who Frank has made available for loan this summer. He joins the likes of Yang Min-hyeok and George Abbott, while Kota Takai’s situation will be assessed later in the window.

The decision to loan him out has not gone down well with Tottenham fans, who took to social media to express their discontent with Frank’s decision.

Vuskovic could benefit from a loan move

While it is the last thing that Spurs supporters want to see, Vuskovic could benefit from a loan move next season.

The defender has shown real promise during pre-season, but he is still raw and needs to be developed. Not to mention that he has yet to spend a competitive season in England.

As a result, a season-long loan at a Championship club could be just what the doctor ordered. If he remains at Tottenham, he would most likely be Frank’s fourth choice, whereas he would see more minutes while playing in the second division.

Then, as a riper talent with a greater understanding of English football, he could challenge Spurs’ top centre-back duo for a starting spot. Therefore, a loan could be best for all involved this summer.
