Tottenham fans delighted at ‘massive’ new transfer announcement

Tottenham have made several decisions over their first-team squad as they step up their plans for next season.

Ange Postecoglou’s future is unclear, but some decisions could not wait for him as Tottenham weigh up whether to change manager or not.

Three first-team players have now left after their contracts expired, with Tottenham confirming the departures of Alfie Whiteman, Sergio Reguilon and Fraser Forster, while Timo Werner has also departed following his loan spell.

Spurs fans delighted as Kevin Danso loan made permanent

Tottenham have now confirmed that loanee Kevin Danso will have his move made permanent, as the obligation to buy in his contract has been activated.

Danso will now join from RC Lens for around £21million, having impressed since his arrival on loan in January.

Spurs fans are delighted with the news, and they believe that there is plenty more to come from the centre-back.

Danso can play key part for Tottenham next season

Tottenham were desperately lacking in depth at centre-back before Danso’s arrival, and both Cristian Romero and Micky Van de Ven struggled with injuries.

The Austrian has been quietly impressive at the back since his arrival, and made 15 appearances across all competitions in the second half of the season.

With Spurs in the Champions League next season, Danso will have a big part to play even if he is not the first-choice centre-back, and he will still likely start over 20 games across all competitions as the difficult fixtures pile up for Tottenham.

Romero has been linked with an exit, and if he does depart, Danso will become even more important as he will have to step up alongside another defender to replace the Argentinian.
