Tottenham fans call out Harry Kane after latest images straight from Bilbao

Tottenham face one of their biggest games in years as they take on Manchester United in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

Spurs must win if they are to secure European football after a disastrous domestic campaign, as they currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League.

Thousands of Tottenham fans have now descended upon Bilbao in northern Spain, and several ex-players have joined them to support their quest for glory.

However, one of those players is not all-time top-scorer Harry Kane, and many have questioned why the striker is not in Bilbao to support his old teammates.

Tottenham fans slam Kane as Fernando Llorente joins fans in Bilbao

This is Tottenham’s first European final since they reached the Champions League final in 2019, and former striker Fernando Llorente played a huge part.

Llorente scored a vital goal against Manchester City in the quarter-finals, and he left a cult hero at the club, having joined late in his career.

The Athletic Bilbao icon has now been spotted with fans in the Basque Country and linked up with his former teammates, but while fans have praised him, many questioned why Kane could not do the same.

Kane not in Bilbao as Spurs prepare for Europa League final

Kane has expressed his desire to see his former club win the Europa League, but he will not be in Bilbao to support his old teammates, including iconic attacking partner Heung-Min Son.

Llorente did find it easier to get to Bilbao, given that he currently lives there, but the possibility of Kane joining, shortly after winning his first major trophy with Bayern Munich, was what Spurs fans wanted to see.

Bayern Munich have finished their league season, and former Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise has now been spotted with his old teammates to celebrate their FA Cup victory over Manchester City, but Kane elected against travelling to Bilbao.

It is a must-win game for Tottenham, and they will also be without several key players now due to injury, with all eggs in one basket for Ange Postecoglou.
