Tottenham fans all agree that Richarlison should be sold after what he’s just done around Ange Postecoglou

Ange Postecoglou is making all the headlines for his comments about Tottenham.

Postecoglou was sacked by Tottenham for their underperformance in the Premier League after leading them to a 17th-placed finish in the 2024-25 season.

Although the 60-year-old won the Europa League in his final game, Daniel Levy decided to replace him with Thomas Frank, who was sacked on Wednesday.

Postecoglou spoke out against Tottenham’s lack of ambition while doing an interview for The Overlap on 12 February, and Richarlison has agreed with the former Spurs manager on social media.

After signing from Everton for £60million in 2022, the 28-year-old has only scored 22 league goals in over three seasons, and it’s safe to say that it hasn’t worked out.

Despite finding the back of the net eight times in all competitions under Frank, he hasn’t performed to the standard which is required.

Richarlison is out injured with a hamstring injury until early March, but that hasn’t stopped him from reacting to Postecoglou‘s comments.

The Aussie claimed that he wanted to sign Pedro Neto, Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi, but wasn’t allowed to do so by the board.

He also said that Tottenham’s ‘To Dare Is To Do’ motto wasn’t something that the board stood by through their actions in the transfer market.

A clip of his words surfaced on TikTok, and Richarlison reposted the video to his followers, which left Spurs fans furious at the number nine.

They claim that he should have been sold by now, while others pointed out his hypocrisy in calling out the lack of ambition to compete at the top.

One fan said: “Yeah, I wonder if Richy was staring in the mirror as he wrote this?? I mean, the fact is, he should be one of the first players replaced in the summer if we want to go forward!! COYS.”

Another supporter added: “Fair play to Richy for calling out the club out, but if we did really dared to do, he would be nowhere near our squad.”

It’s clear that the Brazilian’s latest move hasn’t gone down well with the fanbase, and he needs to have a look in the mirror and realise he isn’t good enough to lead the line for Spurs.

Richarlison’s Tottenham career will be over in the summer

His goals paper over the cracks that show he is simply not good enough to be counted on for Tottenham.

Richarlison’s Tottenham exit is on the cards, and it’s important to note that his performances off the ball can be horrific.

He has been inconsistent throughout his Tottenham career, and the summer transfer window could see him leave in favour of regular minutes.

In the Premier League this season, Richarlison has registered a pass accuracy of 64 per cent, while only recording a dribble success rate of 46.7 per cent.

Whoever the next Tottenham manager may be, they’ll likely feel that the Brazilian is nowhere near good enough to lead the line.

And his time to N17 is just another move that has drastically failed under ENIC’s stewardship.
