Liverpool fans all say same thing after Son Heung-Min exit message

Liverpool supporters have taken exception to Son Heung-min’s exit message at Tottenham.

Son has confirmed that he will leave the North London outfit after more than a decade of service, after finally winning the Europa League trophy under Ange Postecoglou.

He notched seven goals and one assist in 16 matches against the Reds, which is not a terrible record by any means.

However, it is not Son’s actions or words that have angered supporters of the Premier League champions.

Son Heung-min sends emotional Tottenham exit message

Son’s exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a devastating moment for Spurs supporters across the world.

The South Korean ace was clearly emotional as he sent a message to fans, crying and blubbering in a post on the club’s official X account (6 August).

He said: “To all the Spurs fans, it such a hard decision, that I will leave the Spurs family.”

Liverpool supporters irate with Trent after Son message

Liverpool fans were already furious with Trent Alexander-Arnold, after his move to Real Madrid earlier this summer.

However, they have been set off again after Son’s message, given the emotion that he showed, something which the boyhood Reds’ goodbye was lacking.

Many believe that it was simply read from a teleprompter rather than being a real message from the heart like Son’s.

Given the platform and stardom that the L4 outfit had given him and the fact it was the club he had been at since the age of six, many expected more emotion from their vice-captain.

One thing is for sure, unlike the England star at Anfield, Son will forever have a home in N17, he will forever be loved by Tottenham fans after his selfless contributions throughout the years.

It was a bit of a shame how his final season ended, considering the Lilywhites’ league form, but the fact that he finally won a trophy with Spurs makes that all worthwhile.

It is unfortunate that he never got to work under Thomas Frank in a competitive environment, but he feels like it is time for a change.

He will move to LAFC with the blessing and well wishes of all Spurs fans, something which cannot be said for Trent when he moved to the Spanish capital.
