Levy told to ‘break the bank’ for Tottenham to sign Cunha after £40m Wolves news
Tottenham are being urged to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves in the upcoming January transfer window.
Cunha, 25, has been one of the stars of the Premier League this season despite Wolves’ lowly ranking in the table with the Brazilian international scoring 10 goals and supplying four assists in 18 appearances.
His form has already seen him linked with a big move away from Molineux with Spurs reportedly keeping tabs on the former Atletico Madrid star.
Tottenham in hot pursuit of Wolves goal machine Cunha
TBR Football reported on 25 November that Tottenham are keen on Cunha with ex-Spurs scout Bryan King telling Tottenham News exclusively that Wolves will want at least £40million for the forward.
And ahead of Spurs’ Premier League clash with Wolves at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (29 December), fans are telling Daniel Levy to try and sign the Molineux hotshot in the coming weeks.
One supporter has asked that the Spurs chairman “break the bank” to sign Cunha while another thinks that he’ll be an upgrade on what Ange Postecoglou already has in his side.

Cunha has scored in each of his last three Premier League matches but faces the possibility of being banned after an altercation with an Ipswich staff member at the end of Wolves’ 2-1 defeat to Ipswich at Molineux on 14 December.
As quoted by The Sun earlier this week, Cunha is “happy” to be in Wolverhampton but it remains to be seen whether or not that will remain the case if a club like Spurs makes a move to sign him in the coming weeks.
In other Tottenham news, the odds for Graham Potter to be hired as the new Spurs manager have been slashed yet again after a huge update on Postecoglou.
