Levy blasted as Tottenham make Ange Postecoglou sack decision – ‘Disgrace’

Tottenham supporters are not best pleased with the latest decision Daniel Levy has made on Ange Postecoglou.

Spurs were handed their 11th Premier League defeat of the season on Wednesday (15 January) as they were beaten 2-1 by Arsenal at the Emirates, with one player in particular letting his manager down.

As a result, it looked as though there was no way back for Postecoglou, with one Arsenal legend calling for the Tottenham manager to be sacked as a result of the North London derby defeat.

And with friction mooted between the Australian and one big-name player behind the scenes, it seemed as though things were only heading in one direction. However, according to reliable Spurs insider Paul O Keefe via X (16 January), the club currently have no plans to change their manager.

Ange Postecoglou retains internal backing at Tottenham

While pressure is mounting on the Spurs boss externally, it seems as though the internal stance on the 59-year-old’s future is quite different.

As per Alasdair Gold [via Football London, 16 January], Postecoglou retains full backing within Spurs with the club trying to put the right structures and people around him.

Therefore, it seems as though Levy has decided not to sack Postecoglou despite the club’s dismal form, and this is a decision which hasn’t been received well by supporters.

While Postecoglou retains the backing of the club, much to the dismay of some supporters, he will be fully aware that he can’t afford a defeat against Everton in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Sunday (19 January).

In other Tottenham news, the club have set their sights on three alternatives to Randal Kolo Muani.
