Tyrese Hall backed for Tottenham loan exit after Ange Postecoglou admission
Tyrese Hall looks as though he might be set to leave Tottenham on loan in January.
As reported by Darren Witcoop via X (13 January), Hall is attracting loan interest and could leave Spurs this month, with the midfielder on Stoke City’s radar.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash with Arsenal at the Emirates on Wednesday (15 January), as well as providing an injury update on Richarlison, Postecoglou stated that some young players could be allowed to leave on loan this month.
The Spurs boss said [via Football London, 14 January], “We can’t afford to let players go. There could be some young ones, like Alfie Dorrington has gone out on loan and young Will [Lankshear] could be as well.”
Therefore, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has backed Hall to join Stoke City.
“Mark Robins has taken over at Stoke City,” King said.
“He’s a good manager who has a track record of improving young players. Therefore, I don’t think it would do Hall any harm to join Stoke City on loan, especially not with Robins at the club.
“If a move is available, then I’m sure it would be a very good learning curve for Hall. He will be getting far more out of a loan with Stoke than he would playing for Spurs’ Under-21s.”
Tyrese Hall to leave Tottenham on loan in January?
Hall was a big part of Spurs’ pre-season preparations. However, he has hardly been offered a chance with the first team this season. Therefore, it seems as though a loan move would be best.
Dorrington – another one of Spurs’ high-profile Under-21 players – has joined Aberdeen on loan, with a prediction emerging after that move was confirmed.
As a result, Postecoglou will want to ensure that Hall isn’t left behind.

Therefore, Spurs should look to secure a loan move by the end of January.
