Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma replacement to push for loan exit after failed summer agreement
Dante Cassanova and Reiss Russell-Denny will both be pushing to leave Tottenham on loan in the near future.
The Lilywhites sent several young stars on loan over the summer with the intention of continuing their development plans.
Some have been a success, while others will have the club thinking twice.
Indeed, Tyrese Hall’s performances at Notts County have left fans desperate for his return, while Jamie Donley could return to Tottenham this January after failing to receive adequate minutes at Stoke City.
As a result, Spurs will need to think carefully before sanctioning any further loans in the near future.

Reiss Russell-Denny could push harder for a loan move
Russell-Denny, who was once hailed as Yves Bissouma’s replacement, is one of Tottenham’s brightest youngsters, already netting one and assisting six goals for the Under-21s this season.
The central midfielder has been essential to their Premier League campaign thus far, starting seven out of eight games.
As a result, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Tottenham expert and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham, believes that Russell-Denny will go out on loan before Cassanova.
“Cassanova will probably want to push on and get out on loan,” Wenham said.
“But I don’t know how flexible Tottenham will be for that because he’s so versatile, and it allows them to have many of their other players out on loan by keeping him in and around the squad.

“There’s another one in front of him who will be pushing to go out on loan more, which is Russell-Denny. He was signed from Chelsea last January and was basically instantly one of the best centre midfield players in the younger age groups.
“I think he was ready for a loan in the summer, and I was surprised he didn’t get it, so I suspect that he will be the one pushing for a January loan before Dante.”
Why Tottenham will need to careful when selecting loan clubs
The Lilywhites have seen seven failed loan spells over the years, including Bryan Gil, who recently signed for Girona on a permanent deal, a player who Tottenham grossly mismanaged while in North London.
The forward was only loaned to Spanish clubs despite having minimal Premier League experience. This made it difficult for him to adapt to the pace of English football the few times he did play for Spurs.
- He made 43 appearances for Tottenham
 - Gil only provided two career assists for the Lilywhites

As a result, Tottenham should look to send Russell-Denny and Cassanova on loans to English sides when the time comes.
This will help ensure them the best chance of developing to a point where they can secure a spot in Spurs’ first team.
