Tottenham Women ‘absolutely’ must make Grace Clinton a permanent addition in North London – Spurs Expert
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham believes Tottenham Women must look to make on-loan Grace Clinton a permanent addition to the squad.
Clinton arrived at Hotspur Way from Manchester United Women on loan during the summer (Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 14 August).
Throughout her time at the club, she has quickly become one of Robert Vilahamn’s most important players, despite still being just 20 years old.
She has four goals and two assists in the FA Women’s Super League this season, and those watching back in Manchester will be very pleased with her development in the capital.
However, Wenham believes that Tottenham should be doing whatever they can to ensure that Clinton is with the club beyond the summer.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “Clinton is obviously on loan from Manchester United. If we do have the ability and finances to make that a permanent deal, then we absolutely should be doing that.
“Since moving to the club, she has really established herself in North London. She got her first call up to train with the Lionesses, having never been involved previously with any of the age group levels for England.
“Therefore, it seems like she’s thriving at Tottenham, and I hope the club can look to make that move permanent.

“She would be a really good, young addition to the squad and someone that can become our focal point moving forward.”
In other Tottenham news, the club must do everything they can to cut ties with one £25million Spurs player.
