Tottenham urged to sell Bryan Gil as ‘big money’ transfer claim emerges
John Wenham wants Tottenham to sell Bryan Gil this summer amid a “big money” transfer claim.
The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims the forward has offered “nothing” since arriving in North London.
Gil was signed by the club nearly three years ago, joining from Sevilla for £21.6million plus Erik Lamela (via Sky Sports News, 20 July 2021).
And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Gil is one of two players who need to be sold.
“Gil is on holiday in Spain, and nobody seems interested in signing him,” Wenham said.
“There was talk of Feyenoord signing him previously but that has seemingly stopped. He and Sergio Reguilon both need to be moved on.
“Two players who cost the club big money and have offered pretty much nothing.
“For everybody involved, I think it is best if they are moved on.”
Tottenham need to find a permanent long-term solution for forward Bryan Gil
Gil has no future under Ange Postecoglou.
Since joining the club the 23-year-old has made just 43 appearances and provided two assists.
He has twice been sent out on loan and it doesn’t look as if the player’s time at the club is going to be a long-term success.

As a result, Spurs should be looking to get him off the books, and to do that Daniel Levy might need to accept a loss on the Spaniard.
Tottenham have done well so far this summer moving on unwanted players at the club.
However, Postecoglou will still be keen for a few more players to be moved on.
In other Tottenham news, Wenham claims the club will accept a £10million-plus loss as a first-team player nears an exit.
