Tottenham Under-21 prospects ‘hungry’ to ‘keep progressing’ after recent development – Expert
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham praised “hungry” Tottenham Under-21 stars Jamie Donley and Alfie Dorrington after they refused time off to “keep progressing”.
Donley and Dorrington are two of the biggest prospects of a Spurs Under-21s team who sit top of Premier League Two.
They are yet to taste defeat in the league this season and remain undefeated in all competitions against Under-21 opposition.

Both Donley and Dorrington have recently been involved in Ange Postecoglou’s matchday squads, and despite this, the pair refused a rest, which left Wenham particularly impressed.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “The Under-21s are absolutely flying, they’re top of Premier League Two and they still haven’t lost a single league game.
“Even in the cup competitions they seem to win every week, even if they have to make changes or they’re missing key players, they still win.
“I was pleased to see Donley and Dorrington playing in the Under-21s’ most recent match. I know they were given the option to sit it out after having been involved with the first team recently, but they made it clear that they wanted to play.

“That’s exactly what you want, young players that are hungry, they want to go out there, they want to keep developing, keep progressing, and most importantly they don’t want to rest on their laurels.
“I expect them to both be involved against Leeds Under-21s on Monday night (18 December) where they will look to continue their development and end the year with a win before their break over the next few weeks.”
In other Tottenham news, the club are incredibly happy behind the scenes with one of their star players from this season.
