Tottenham ‘to secure new sponsorship deal’ amid Qatari takeover
Tottenham remain of interest to a Qatar-based consortium ahead of a proposed takeover of the club.
After what has not only been a dismal season for Tottenham but also a fairly uneventful few years, the prospect of a new ownership will be greatly welcomed.
Should the proposed Qatari takeover go through, it would likely see an increase in investment in due course, which would then likely improve Spurs’ chances of competing at the right end of the table.
However, it will also present the opportunity for other gains off the pitch, with a new sponsorship deal mooted for Tottenham.

Tottenham ‘to secure’ fresh naming rights deal
While the takeover will provide a much-needed boost at Tottenham on the pitch, it will also open up the door for more commercial opportunities to boost their books going forward.
That is exactly what Paul Robinson alluded to when discussing the potential takeover exclusively with Tottenham News.
Robinson said: “The way that things are done in Qatar. You look at the World Cup. You look at the people there. You look at the business. You look at the stadiums.
“The investment and the business knowledge that comes with it would be extremely welcomed. I don’t envisage a scenario where it would be a huge takeover.
“For the club, that would be excellent if it was. Maybe a partnership that goes along with stadium naming rights, for example, Qatar Airways or something along those lines.”

Tottenham need to put a stop to the current regression
Ultimately, it shouldn’t require a takeover or an obscene amount of investment for Spurs to get back to being a side capable of competing at the right end of the Premier League, but as it stands, it seems as though it might.
For far too long now, Tottenham have failed to compete for trophies and have always looked as though they are one step behind the other clubs in question.

While injuries have played a part for Tottenham, the level of depth in the squad is relatively poor, while certainly lacking quality in some areas.
If the takeover is to be ratified, sponsorship will go a long way to boosting the commercial and financial side of the club, but investment must be made in the playing squad.
