Tottenham to release Postecoglou statement after Levy meeting – Exclusive
Tottenham are expected to sack Ange Postecoglou in the coming weeks.
We are now five days into the summer transfer window, and Tottenham have done very little on the transfer front, and much of that will come down to the lack of clarity from a managerial perspective.
Emotions are mixed in North London after Postecoglou led Spurs to a Europa League trophy, but also a 17th-placed finish in the Premier League.
Daniel Levy is said to have made a decision on the future of the Australian, though that is yet to be communicated to staff or supporters, with more clarity expected by the end of the week.

Postecoglou uncertainty sparking concern at Spurs
There is still an expectancy that Tottenham will sack Postecoglou, with an official decision expected at the end of the week.
While there is still a chance that he remains as Tottenham boss, Paul Robinson has urged Spurs to release a statement to clarify his future, with Levy likely to have already now held talks.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “I think there’ll be an end-of-season review. There’s not a lot of knee-jerk sackings going on at this stage of the season.
“Chairmen, owners, there’ll be meetings. They’ll do their due diligence. They’ll even potentially speak to the manager who’s in charge to get to the right decision at this stage of the season.

“They’ll do the due diligence on the managers that they’re potentially looking to bring in as well.
“I think the longer it goes without some kind of announcement, it doesn’t look good for the manager.
“Because the people, the supporters and people in the media, you can read between the lines that there’s got to be some kind of statement that comes out of Tottenham because of the speculation around his future.”

Levy surely knows Postecoglou’s fate already
It seems inevitable that Postecoglou will be sacked, and questions will emerge as to why that hasnt happened yet, at least officially.
A 17th-placed finish is unacceptable, regardless of the European success, and by keeping him, they would be running the risk of a repeat next season.
With a decision expected soon, all eyes will be on North London.
