Tottenham ‘to open Dejan Kulusevski contract talks’ as transfer news emerges
Dejan Kulusevski is beginning to attract transfer interest, which could force Tottenham to respond.
Kulusevski has arguably been Spurs’ most impressive player in what has been a very miserable season.
Tottenham look set to finish in the bottom half of the Premier League, and barring some kind of remarkable turnaround, Ange Postecoglou is expected to be sacked.
However, Postecoglou might not be the only person who leaves Tottenham this summer.
Should Spurs fail to qualify for Europe, a number of their high-profile players could seek exits, with Cristian Romero looking certain to leave Tottenham, while Kulusevski begins to attract interest from elsewhere in Europe.

Napoli want to sign Kulusevski from Tottenham
Kulusevski returned from injury recently, as he came off the bench in the 4-2 Premier League defeat against Wolves at Molineux on Sunday (13 April).
It is a welcome boost for Postecoglou, with the Swede perhaps the most important player in North London.

As a result of his impressive form this season, according to AreaNapoli (9 April), Conte dreams of bringing Kulusevski to Napoli in a move which would see the Italian reunite with the 24-year-old after their time together at Tottenham.
Therefore, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Spurs will need to sit down with Kulusevski and discuss a new contract in the coming months.
“He’s still got a decent contract,” Wenham said.
“His current deal expires in 2028. Therefore, there isn’t a lot of pressure right now. However, Tottenham will need him to renew at some point over the next 12 months.
“They won’t want him entering the final two years of his contract, as that would put the pressure on. As a result, I’d imagine talks will take place next season, and hopefully, we make some dramatic improvements and Kulusevski sees a future at Tottenham and renews.”

Tottenham must provide Kulusevski with a reason to renew
Based on Spurs’ current situation, it would be difficult for fans to blame Kulusevski for not wanting to renew his deal in North London.
Therefore, if Tottenham want to keep hold of the Swede, they need to make dramatic improvements next season and prove that they are a club ready to fight for titles in the coming years.
