Tottenham ‘to hold talks with Carlo Ancelotti’ amid Real Madrid exit latest
Daniel Levy could look to replace Ange Postecoglou with Carlo Ancelotti at Tottenham.
Spurs’ form in the Premier League this season has been abysmal, with the Lilywhites sitting 16th in the division ahead of their trip to the London Stadium to take on West Ham on Sunday (4 May).
Therefore, regardless of what happens in the UEFA Europa League, with Spurs leading Bodø/Glimt 3-1 after the first leg of the two clubs’ semi-final at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday (1 May), it looks as though a change will be made this summer.
Even if they go all the way in Europe, Postecoglou is expected to leave Tottenham. As a result, Levy will need to find a replacement, and Ancelotti certainly wouldn’t be a bad option.

Tottenham ‘to approach Ancelotti’ for talks
As reported by Fabrizio Romano (2 May), Ancelotti is still expected to part ways with Real Madrid at the end of the season.
There have been widespread reports of the 65-year-old taking over as manager of Brazil.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks Levy will try to hold talks with Ancelotti before any decision is made, although he believes convincing the Italian to move to North London at this stage in his career could be difficult.
“Ancelotti is that little bit older now,” Wenham said.
“When he managed with Chelsea and Everton, he was a younger man. However, he is a little bit older, and I’m not sure if a move to London and doing a complete rebuild at this stage in his life is something he would go for.
“However, I’m sure he will be on a list, and if he is available, I’m sure Tottenham will speak with him because he is an outstanding manager and one of the best over the last few decades.”
Ancelotti would be a significant coup for Tottenham
There is no doubt over Ancelotti’s pedigree in football. Therefore, if Levy could convince the Real Madrid manager to join Tottenham, it would be a real coup.
However, that could be difficult, as Ancelotti is likely to have interest from all over Europe if he does leave Madrid this summer.
