Tottenham ‘to back Ange Postecoglou’ as Johan Lange comments ripped to shreds
Ange Postecoglou is under growing pressure from supporters as Tottenham continue to struggle on the pitch.
Spurs’ season has been blighted by key injuries, with Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario and Destiny Udogie all long-term absentees at Hotspur Way.
Radu Dragusin, James Maddison, Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson have all arrived in the treatment room over the last few weeks, depleting Postecoglou’s squad almost match-by-match.
Daniel Levy and Johan Lange had the perfect opportunity to address those problems as the winter transfer window opened but fans were left disappointed by the lack of urgency to make signings.
To make matters worse, the sporting director admitted that Spurs were ready to do business on 1 January but the change in format to UEFA competitions made that more difficult, apparently [SpursPlay].
That, obviously, enrages fans and Robinson has not taken lightly to the comments after the closing of the transfer window.
Johan Lange criticised after Tottenham transfer comments
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “They’ve got no foundations because, looking at Tottenham’s history in transfer markets, they’ve never been active from the beginning.
“They’ve never gone out and paid over the odds. Late deals are far more likely, barring the odd exception, so I’m afraid, things like that don’t wash. You can clearly see that the manager is getting backing from somewhere.
“If you’re going to back him, listen to him and get the players.”
Daniel Levy to trust the process under Ange Postecoglou
Many supporters have been calling for the manager to be sacked, more now than ever after Spurs were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Liverpool, losing their 15th game of the season in all competitions.

The main issue for Levy is finding a figure to replace the Australian.
Multiple managers have been linked with the job at Hotspur Way, but with many of those options likely coming with a significant fee, it is tough to see the owner taking action during the season.
Signing more than just Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel would have been a major statement, putting the faith in Postecoglou, but the manager must now struggle until the end of the season unless he is sacked before.
