Tottenham ‘to announce new hire in weeks’ as agreement already reached
Ange Postecoglou’s future is uncertain despite UEFA Europa League success, with major changes expected at Tottenham this summer.
Tottenham are set to compete in their sixth European final after securing a spot in the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United at the Estadio de San Mamés on Wednesday, 21 May.
However, pressure is still mounting on Postecoglou, especially after Spurs slipped to 17th in the Premier League following a 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (11 May).
With a potential return to the UEFA Champions League on the cards, Daniel Levy appears ready to make some big changes in the coming weeks and months.

Tottenham ‘to announce Fabio Paratici return in weeks’
While the focus at Tottenham will be on the upcoming Europa League final, there is a growing feeling that change is on the cards this summer.
The Lilywhites have suffered 20 defeats in the Premier League this season, which, for many, is not good enough.
Premier League | MP | W | D | L | Pts |
17 Tottenham | 36 | 11 | 5 | 20 | 38 |
Therefore, while Postecoglou’s future remains up in the air, changes will also need to be made to the squad, which Paratici can help with.
As reported by TBR Football (2 May), the Italian already has an agreement in place to return to Tottenham, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes an official announcement is imminent.
“I think we will get an announcement on Paratici when his ban ends,” Wenham said.
“That is on 1 July, at that point I’m sure Tottenham will announce Paratici’s return and the full restructuring behind the scenes.
“If Postecoglou is to leave, I’m sure that will come as a double announcement with Scott Munn’s departure. At that point, ENIC would be able to make it clear what the new leadership structure is with Vinai Venkatesham and Paratici.”

Paratici’s return may mark the end for Postecoglou
If the 52-year-old does return this summer, one of his first jobs could be to identify a new manager to take over from Postecoglou.
While Tottenham could lift silverware for the first time in 17 years, their Premier League campaign has left a stain on the season.
Therefore, whatever happens in Bilbao, Postecoglou could have more than Levy to answer to in the coming weeks.
