Tottenham ‘to accept £80m Pedro Porro bid’ amid Man City transfer news
Tottenham are ready to sell Pedro Porro this summer, but a deal for the defender isn’t expected to come cheap.
Porro is one of several players in line to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer.
While Ange Postecoglou’s future remains uncertain, it looks as though the Lilywhites might have to replace several players as well as their manager.
Cristian Romero looks likely to leave Tottenham, and fellow defender Porro could follow the centre-back out the exit door at Hotspur Way.

Manchester City want to re-sign Porro, Tottenham ready to sell
As reported by TBR Football (22 April), Spurs are willing to sell Porro this summer, with Manchester City showing an interest in re-signing the Spaniard.
Graeme Bailey reports that Daniel Levy would consider selling Porro if an offer of £50million were made.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes it would take £80million for the Lilywhites to part ways with the right-back.
“I still think Porro is a top player,” Wenham said.
“I think he just needs a change of manager, and I would like him to remain at the club. However, if Tottenham were going to sell him, it would be for big money. He was signed for £40million, and he has improved significantly since then.
“Therefore, that fee would need to be covered, and Tottenham would want money on top of that, which means it would need to be £80m. That is what it would take for Spurs to accept, and if a club, such as Manchester City, doesn’t want to pay that, then Porro can’t leave.”

Tottenham should keep hold of Porro
If Tottenham did sell Porro, Djed Spence would no doubt take over as the number-one choice at right-back. However, beyond Spence and Porro, Spurs’ options in that area of the pitch are limited.
Therefore, if the North London club were to sell Porro, he would need replacing, which would be expensive.
Porro still has three years left on his contract and is a top player who could thrive under a different manager. As a result, Spurs should keep hold of the 25-year-old.
