‘Tottenham to accept £20m+ Palmeiras bid’ as Richarlison exit nears – Exclusive
Richarlison has been heavily linked with an exit from Tottenham this summer.
The forward has struggled to have a sustained impact since his move from Everton three seasons ago. As a result, speculation is now mounting that he could be about to depart N17.
Palmeiras have been in contact with Spurs about Richarlison, and the Brazilian outfit could be prepared to offer the striker a route out of North London.
Thomas Frank is expected to oversee a clear-out of some of the Lilywhites’ squad players, and the 28-year-old could be one of the first to go.

Palmeiras ‘won’t pay £55m for Richarlison’
Richarlison was an expensive purchase for Spurs, having cost them an initial £50million back in the summer of 2022.
That figure is seemingly still fresh in their mind, with Daniel Levy and Co. understood to now be holding out for a fee in the region of around £55m to sell the out-of-favour man.
Palmeiras seem undeterred in their pursuit at the moment. However, it remains to be seen whether they would even have the capability to conclude a deal at that price.
Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that a deal for Richarlison may be done for around £20m.
“I can’t see them (Palmeiras) paying £55m for Richarlison,” King said.
“If I were Tottenham, I’d be taking any amount of money to get him off the books. We’ve been saying this now for 14 months. He’s not a Tottenham player; he’s never proved that he’s a Tottenham player.
“He was a £50m man, how can he be in the team one week and out the next? It’s been that way ever since he came to the football club. If Tottenham get a decent offer for him, anything above £20m, he’ll be out the door.”

Spurs need to get rid of Richarlison
Tottenham need to get rid of Richarlison this summer, given the changes that are expected to come as they enter the Frank era.
They have already secured the signing of Mohammed Kudus, and there are sustained links with the likes of Yoane Wissa.
Season | Apps | Goals | Assists |
2024/25 | 24 | 5 | 2 |
2023/24 | 31 | 12 | 4 |
2022/23 | 35 | 3 | 3 |
Total | 90 | 20 | 9 |
Such additions to the attacking ranks will surely see a need for squad players like Richarlison to be shipped out. Frank simply doesn’t have the room to be sentimental with his decision-making.
The 28-year-old was on the fringes of the squad for large parts of last season, and he hasn’t shown enough in his time with Spurs to warrant a more significant role.
As a result, it surely makes sense for Spurs to cut their losses and accept whatever fee they can get.
