Tottenham tipped to sign Morgan Gibbs-White then get rid of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso
John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose believes Tottenham signing Morgan Gibbs-White could open the door for both Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to leave the club this summer.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest star Gibbs-White in recent weeks.
Wenham has expressed his desire for Spurs to sign the 24-year-old playmaker, who has scored four goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League this season.
He believes that the Englishman’s potential arrival could open the door for both Hojbjerg and Lo Celso to move on from North London.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “I really like Gibbs-White, I think he’s a real character and a leader in that Forest team.
“He has lots of positive attributes, he can cover a couple of midfield positions, and it wouldn’t take long for him to become a regular for England if he was playing at Spurs.
“I think signing him would make it easier to let go of Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso this summer.”
Could Morgan Gibbs-White replace Giovani Lo Celso and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at Tottenham?
It looks likely that both Lo Celso and Hojbjerg’s futures lie away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The midfield duo have struggled for regular minutes under Ange Postecoglou this season and will be keen to play more regularly next season.
Spurs have plenty of depth in the middle of the park with the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma, and Gibbs-Whites’ arrival could therefore allow both Hojbjerg and Lo Celso to move on.

It would be another step in the rebuild under Postecoglou as the Australian continues to mould a team in his image in North London.
