Tottenham surprise emerges after £200m transfer bombshell – Exclusive
Tottenham have already experienced a whirlwind summer, and pre-season has not even begun in North London.
Much of the talk at Hotspur Way has been about their manager, with Thomas Frank set to replace Ange Postecoglou.
With that decision sinking in, attention will quickly turn to the transfer market, where Spurs are expected to make waves.
Champions League football will give Daniel Levy an added onus in the window and will provide him with additional funds.

Tottenham expected to spend amid Champions League qualification
Postecoglou’s parting gift to Tottenham was Champions League football, which has been absent for two seasons.
That achievement completely flipped Spurs’ summer transfer plans as they can now pursue a higher standard of players.
Now, football finance expert Dan Plumley has provided insight into what the summer will bring to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, after it was shared that they could spend £200m without PSR issues.
“They don’t tend to go that big in one hit, certainly not to those levels of £200million,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.
“I’ve always said, and The Athletic article supports this, they might not have that in terms of direct cash access, but they have got the ability to spend.
“We’ve always said that about Spurs, and it’s always been a case of, do they want to versus can they actually.
“The Champions League factor will come into that, as it almost forces their hand to spend a little bit.
“We’ve talked about it, giving them the platform to spend, but it almost forces their hand as well because you have to look at the quality of teams in that competition and look to compete there as well.
“We might be a little bit surprised if it does go to the levels of £200million; it’s not what they’ve done in the past.
“They can spend, and the difference between their ability to spend and the value that they might have to spend as a Champions League club is very different from a newly promoted club or an Everton or a West Ham that are stabilised but are trying to make that leap into Europe.”

Frank must strengthen the Spurs midfield
Although Tottenham endured a torrid Premier League campaign, they do possess several top-quality players within their ranks.
The midfield should be a priority for Frank, however, reinforcements are needed in the middle and on the flanks when he is announced as expected.
Leroy Sane and Jack Grealish have both been linked with a move to Spurs and would add some spark in attack.
However, competition must be added in the hub of midfield to improve on the likes of Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr.
Frank worked wonders at Brentford and must begin a mini-revival in North London.
