Tottenham supporters ‘losing patience’ after latest stadium developments

Daniel Levy is continuing to turn the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium into a global attraction.

For all of the hard work the Spurs chairman does off the field, Levy’s popularity among supporters is at an all-time low, with many of the belief that the footballing side of the club has been neglected.

However, it doesn’t look as though the 62-year-old will be going anywhere anytime soon, even in the event of a potential takeover, with a group of Qatari investors keen to keep Levy on as executive chairman [The Guardian].

Therefore, supporters will no doubt be tearing their hair out at the thought of being stuck with Levy for years to come, as the Spurs chief continues to put on money-spinning events in North London which seem to have little to do with the football being played by Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Tottenham fans losing patience after latest concert announcements

It was recently announced that Kendrick Lamar would be performing alongside SZA at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July.

The 2025 Super Bowl half-time performers aren’t the only artists scheduled to perform in N17 this summer, with the likes of 50 Cent and Beyonce also set to take to the stage.

However, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – doesn’t think supporters have any interest in such events, despite the financial benefits they provide.

“I think even the most loyal fans are losing patience now if I’m being honest with you,” Wenham said.

“Despite the fact there are plenty of positive financial benefits, with the team sitting 14th in the Premier League, it is difficult to get excited by these announcements.

“Even for somebody like me, who has always been positive about these announcements in the past, you do start to lose the will a little bit. Therefore, I think it is time to just focus on the task at hand, which right now, is beating Manchester United on Sunday.”

Daniel Levy needs to prove Tottenham fans wrong

Spurs hosting concerts at their state-of-the-art home is incredibly lucrative for the club. However, it doesn’t seem as though much of the cash raised is being reinvested into the team.

Therefore, fans are likely to have very little interest in the financial benefits these concerts provide.

However, if Levy begins to show a bit more ambition, he could quickly change fans’ perceptions of him.
