Tottenham ‘sign off on operation’ after what has happened with Richarlison
Ange Postecoglou has had no luck when it comes to keeping players fit at Tottenham.
Tottenham will travel to Bilbao in the coming days, where they will take on Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League final on Wednesday (21 May).
However, as has so often been the case during his time at Tottenham, Postecoglou will be without several key players against United, including Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison.
Richarlison is another player who has spent a lot of time on the sidelines, and recent developments involving the Brazilian have resulted in Spurs signing off on an operation.

Dane Scarlett undergoes a groin operation
Scarlett has become the latest player to be sidelined by injury at Tottenham.
After Spurs’ 2-0 Premier League defeat against Crystal Palace at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday (11 May), Postecoglou confirmed that Scarlett had undergone an operation on a groin injury the striker had been carrying all year.

And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Richarlison’s return to fitness allowed Scarlett to have his operation.
“I think that is an injury that Scarlett would have been carrying for a while,” Wenham said.
“However, now that Richarlison has returned from injury and proven he can remain fit for more than one or two games, it is probably sensible to allow Scarlett to have his operation.
“It will mean he can try to hit the ground running in pre-season. As a result, I think it was just about timing that operation with Richarlison’s return to fitness.”

Scarlett’s injury is the latest challenge for Tottenham
Tottenham can end their 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League.
However, Postecoglou will be without several key players for the trip to Spain. Pressure continues to mount on the 59-year-old, who could leave Tottenham at the end of the season.
Daniel Levy is already looking for replacements, and the final may be the last chance for Postecoglou to achieve success at Tottenham.
However, with several injuries to contend with, a final on the line and Levy breathing down his neck, most would not want to be Postecoglou right now.
