Tottenham sent transfer message as Vlahovic attempt on the cards

Tottenham have been linked with a move to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming transfer window.

Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the fitness of the Serbia international ahead of a potential move.

Spurs are understood to be in the hunt to sign a new striker this summer, despite bringing in Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for the 2024/25 campaign.

Vlahovic’s muscle injuries may be a worry

Tottenham may want to take a closer look at the multiple muscle injuries, according to Dr Brar.

Any potential long-term effects of it may be revealed during the medical before the transfer is finalised.

This comes after Give Me Sport reported in March that Spurs could make an attempt to sign the £35million-rated striker.

Discussing the state of play with Vlahovic exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.

“Tottenham may take a closer look at the history of muscle injuries and, most recently, how his stress reaction has healed,” he said.

He has suffered injuries at different stages this season, so that’s a worry.

Further examinations during the medical will reveal whether or not it’s a long-term concern.

Tottenham should look to sign Vlahovic at £35million

Signing Vlahovic for £35million could be a shrewd move for Tottenham, who are desperate to rebound from their 17th-place finish in 2024/25.

The 25-year-old Juventus striker, with 15 goals and 5 assists in 41 matches this season, offers proven goal-scoring ability at a bargain price for a player of his calibre.

His physicality, aerial dominance and clinical finishing suit the Premier League’s demands, addressing Spurs’ need for a reliable No. 9 post-Harry Kane.

Vlahovic’s experience in Serie A and the Champions League ensures he can handle high-pressure environments, unlike younger, unproven talents.

With Tottenham’s Champions League commitments, his versatility and work rate could galvanise their attack, offering Ange Postecoglou or whoever replaces him a cornerstone to build a competitive squad around.
