Tottenham plans for Ajayi shared amid ‘huge’ claim – Exclusive
Tottenham gem Damola Ajayi will be keen to make an impression while on loan at Doncaster Rovers.
Tottenham kick off their pre-season schedule against Reading at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday (19 July), where supporters will get a first glimpse of Thomas Frank’s Spurs.
The Dane will use the next few weeks to assess his squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign getting underway. As a result, many players will feel as though they have a point to prove.
However, Frank will not have forgotten about the players Tottenham have sent out on loan, and it appears as though the Lilywhites have high hopes for Ajayi in particular.

Ajayi on fire for Doncaster Rovers
Tottenham recently announced that Ajayi would be spending the upcoming season on loan at Doncaster Rovers, and he has already made an impact.
The Vikings kicked off their pre-season fixtures last week with a 3-2 victory against Alfreton Town (8 July), with Ajayi netting the equaliser on his debut in the 45th minute.
The 19-year-old continued his fine form, scoring twice in a 5-0 win against Stamford AFC (12 July).
The young star seems to be doing everything right, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has shared that Spurs have high hopes for Ajayi.
“I know the club values Ajayi really highly,” Wenham said.
“They’ve picked a loan for him where they believe he’s going to play every game and heavily feature.
“Ajayi is extremely versatile. He can play on either wing or as an out-and-out striker, has got a lot of power, a lot of pace, and a good range of finishing.
“So I imagine this loan will be a huge success, and then he’ll go on loan to a Championship club next year if this loan goes as I think it will. I’ve got very high hopes for Ajayi, and I think this loan will go really well.”
Tottenham have a player for the future in Ajayi
Ajayi announced himself to Tottenham supporters when he scored off the bench on his senior debut during Spurs’ 3-0 win against Elsborg (30 January) in the UEFA Europa League.
Since then, both Spurs supporters and the North London club have had high hopes for him to succeed.
There is no doubt that both will be paying close attention to this current loan as it progresses, with the hope that he becomes a consistent first-team player.
