Tottenham: New multi-million cash windfall on cards after Bayern Munich development
Dan Plumley has insisted that Tottenham could earn up to £5million if the pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich sells out on August 10.
Spurs will welcome the German giants, with Harry Kane and Eric Dier to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as part of the Visit Malta Cup.
The football finance expert calculated, based on current averages in the Premier League, that the North London club could bank anywhere between £4million and £5million.
“If you look at the numbers that we’ve seen from Spurs over the last couple of years in terms of matchday income and average that out,” he exclusively told Tottenham News.
“They are averaging £4.5-5million-per-matchday, so those kinds of numbers would be what you would expect from one particular event based on Premier League prices.
“I think it is conceivable that given the nature of the opposition, given the nature of the Harry Kane factor within that, it would be a sell-out and you can try and leverage that in a number of ways.
“If you can, based on those numbers we have seen based on an average matchday income for Spurs over the past couple of years, you’re looking at £4-5million for a sellout game.”

Tottenham to bank new cash windfall
Daniel Levy is a mastermind at generating revenue, with the new stadium already showing how good it can be for the club in and out of football.
Spurs have become the highest revenue-generating club in London in recent times, and with money like this potentially rolling in just from pre-season friendlies, it is no surprise.
