Tottenham: Lilywhite Rose ‘Pleased’ by one key ‘Improvement’ under Ange Postecoglou
John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose believes there has been a serious “improvement” at Tottenham in terms of their transfer business under Ange Postecoglou.
Spurs have made some high-profile signings since Postecoglou took over in North London.
The likes of James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Micky van de Ven have all arrived at the club in big-money switches.
Most of these signings have quickly become first-team regulars for Postecoglou and Wenham is full of praise for the work the Australian continues to do off the pitch as well as on it.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, the founder of reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose, said: “If you look at the signings Postecoglou has made, especially out wide, they’re all different.
“Johnson and Timo Werner have both got different skills and attributes, yes they’ve both got rapid pace but they’re not similar at all when you watch them, and that allows Postecoglou to change the game up and mix things around.
“By doing that it gives our opponents different threats to consider, so I am pleased with the recruitment which has been done under Postecoglou so far, and it is definitely an improvement on recent seasons.”
Spurs and Daniel Levy must continue to listen to Ange Postecoglou at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Before Postecoglou arrived at the club, some questionable signings had been made.
Although he has found some form as of late, there are still plenty of supporters who will suggest that Richarlison was not worth the money Spurs paid to Everton for him, while things haven’t worked out for several other first-team players signed in recent seasons.

However, for Postecoglou, it seems as if it is so far so good on the transfer front. Most of his signings, such as Guglielmo Vicario, van de Ven, Maddison and even someone like Ashley Phillips, are progressing well.
It is clear that when it comes to transfers, Levy must continue to listen to his manager.
In other Tottenham news, ex-Spurs employee Bryan King believes there is no way back for one player at the club after a “big” admission.
