Tottenham insider reveals conversations with Mikey Moore as ‘incredible’ teen eyes first-team

John Wenham claims 16-year-old Tottenham sensation Mikey Moore already has the mentality of a first-team player.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the forward should feature regularly next season.

Moore recently made his Premier League debut for Tottenham in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City (14 May).

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has detailed what he has noticed from first-hand conversations with the player.

“He will be 17 at the beginning of next season, Lewis Miley was starting for Newcastle in the UEFA Champions League at that age,” Wenham said.

“We’ve seen other big clubs give chances to their young stars, why can’t Tottenham do that?

“From speaking to him personally on multiple occasions, the thing I noticed is his incredible mentality.

“Forget his ability, he has already got the mentality to be a first-team player.”

Ange Postecoglou must give Mikey Moore a chance at Tottenham next season

Wayne Rooney was Moore’s age when he burst onto the scene.

While it remains to be seen whether or not Moore is anywhere near that level, he should definitely be given the opportunity to find out.

Despite the Young Lions’ early exit, the winger was a standout player at the UEFA Under-17 European Championship.

Tottenham, Mikey Moore
Mikey Moore recently made his first-team debut for Tottenham.

Moore is too good for youth football.

As a result, Ange Postecoglou should use the UEFA Europa League next season as a platform to see what the Spurs sensation can do.

In other Tottenham news, one star at the club could be used as part of a player-plus-cash deal.
