Tottenham injury news: Huge Dejan Kulusevski update emerges

Tottenham attacker Dejan Kulusevski is continuing to recover from an ankle injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has laid out the best and worst-case scenarios in terms of the Sweden international making his first-team return.

The 24-year-old has not featured for Spurs since the 1-0 defeat against Manchester City on 26 February.

Kulusevski may be out of action for a month

There are two possibilities with the winger’s current injury setback, one of which is a bone bruise.

If that is the case, it won’t keep him out for too long and an imminent return could be on the cards.

On the other hand, it could be something significant which may keep him out for another month.

Discussing the state of play with Kulusevski exclusively with Tottenham NewsDr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.

“He is currently ruled out with an ankle injury,” he said.

Best case scenario is that this is a bone bruise that won’t keep him out much longer while the worst case scenario is a more significant injury that continues to keep him out for an extended period of time.

So there is a possibility of him being ruled out for a month as well in that scenario.

Tottenham have sorely missed Kulusevski

Kulusevski is vital to Ange Postecoglou’s football philosophy at Tottenham due to his versatility, work rate and technical flair.

Postecoglou’s high-pressing, possession-based system demands players who can adapt across roles, making the 24-year-old the ideal fit.

His dribbling, vision, and left-footed creativity unlock defences, while his relentless energy aligns perfectly with the intense pressing game Postecoglou favours.

Kulusevski’s ability to win possession in advanced areas fuels Tottenham’s attacking transitions and nobody in the side can offer quite the same kind of impact, so the manager will be hoping he’s back sooner rather than later.
