Tottenham in line for ‘huge shift’ under Levy amid links to Jobe Bellingham

Tottenham are already drawing up a list of potential targets for the summer transfer window.

Tottenham will want to do everything in their power to avoid a repeat of the current campaign, which unless they can find success via the Europa League, is panning out to be a massive failure.

Tottenham have been dismal when it comes to domestic competitions, and they will need to make smart decisions when it comes to the summer window if they are to rectify that.

One of those decisions could see Jobe Bellingham make a move to Spurs after the Sunderland midfielder was linked with a North London switch.

Tottenham could sign Jobe this summer

Archie Gray has been the biggest success story for Tottenham this season, and Spurs will be looking to repeat that with the signing of Jobe who has excelled on Wearside.

However, Paul Robinson – when speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – thinks that their success in the Europa League could decide whether or not they secure a deal, but also to to the way they approach future transfers.

He said: “He would fit the mould of players that Tottenham sign. You look at what they’ve done over the years, even when they signed me. Young, English, on the fringes of the England team at the time. Me, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas, Michael Carrick, those types of players.

“And you look at what’s gone on through time, even Archie Gray as well. Jobe Bellingham would fit that category of type of player that Tottenham sign.

“Whether or not there is a huge shift in recruitment, if this season is a failure, if there’s no Europa League this season and Spurs end up 14th in the Premier League, whether there’s a huge shift in the boardroom and a huge change in the way that Tottenham recruit players, but they’ve always bought players that have got a good sell-on value at the right age.

“And for that reason, yeah, absolutely, he would fit that mould. But if he became available, I don’t suspect Tottenham would be the only one looking at him.”

Daniel Levy could make changes at Tottenham

Of course, the biggest change this summer is likely to come in regard to Ange Postecoglou, but Daniel Levy could look to make plenty of others.

As alluded to by Robinson, recruitment could be one of those changes, given the recent failures in past windows that have ultimately led to the current position.

However, for now, their focus will be on winning the Europa League and securing European football for the new campaign.
