Tottenham: ‘Huge’ financial boost on the cards as Daniel Levy hailed by lawyer
Daniel Levy deserves praise for the “imaginative” ways in which he continues to generate revenue for Tottenham, according to John Wenham.
Since moving into the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the club have continued to grow off the pitch.
It was recently revealed that Spurs had become the highest revenue-generating club in London, overtaking Chelsea and moving into the top eight of the highest revenue-generating clubs in Europe.
And Levy now wants to continue that growth, with plans recently emerging for an imminent application by Spurs to host 30 non-football major events per year, a rise from the 16 that they are currently allowed to host.
With the club’s financial results for the year ending June 2023 yet to be published, Wenham believes that supporters can expect significant growth.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham, a Litigation Lawyer with over 10 years of experience in the legal field, said: “Tottenham have had success at the stadium with boxing, music events and the NFL. On top of that, they now have the F1 Experience which is more or less sold out until December already.
“Levy is constantly generating imaginative ways of bringing in money for the club and he deserves praise for that.
“We saw how successful the club was when their latest financial figures were published and when the next financial figures are released, which shouldn’t be too long away now, I’m sure we’ll see another huge uplift in the revenue generated by the club.
“I’m completely behind this strategy. Tottenham invested a lot of money into that stadium so I believe they should look to get the best possible use out of it.”
Is Daniel Levy becoming a more popular figure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
With financial footballing stories stealing the headlines at the moment, Spurs appear to be one of the few clubs who have anything positive to shout about on this front.
While their rivals sweat over potential punishments for alleged FFP breaches, and the likes of Everton cling to their Premier League status after points deductions, Tottenham are continuing to grow commercially.

Levy hasn’t always been the most popular man in North London, but it appears that his strategy could be set to pay off in the long run.
Spurs were one of the few clubs in a position to do any significant business in January, and if the club’s stock off the pitch continues to rise where others falter, it will just be a matter of time until this pays off on the pitch in a big way.
In other Tottenham news, another cash injection is expected in N17 after a recent announcement.
