Tottenham have ‘outstanding’ 16-year-old sensation already shining at Under-18 level

John Wenham has piled praise on “outstanding” Tottenham academy prospect Luca Williams-Barnett.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the 16-year-old will continue to feature for the club’s Under-18s next season.

Williams-Barnett was handed some opportunities in the Under-18 Premier League toward the end of the season.

The wide forward started six matches, scoring twice and providing one assist.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has rated Williams-Barnett as one of the most exciting prospects in North London.

I was pleased that Stuart Lewis played some of the younger boys up toward the end of the season, such as Williams-Barnett,” Wenham said.

“He is an Under-15s player, playing up two or three years and starting in front of other players.

“Williams-Barnett is seen as one of the outstanding talents in his age group.

“He is likely to continue featuring for the Under-18s next season after his performances.

“He is an exciting, tricky left-winger, with an abundance of pace, good skills, and an eye for goal.”
