Tottenham have ‘had all the luck go against them’ in recent weeks – Expert
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham believes Tottenham have “had all the luck go against them” in recent weeks but remains “incredibly confident” that they will still finish in the top four.
Following an impressive start to the season that saw Spurs go 10 matches unbeaten and sit top of the league, Ange Postecoglou’s side have now lost their past three matches on the bounce and slipped to sixth.
With key players James Maddison and Micky van de Ven out until January at the earliest, it could be a difficult month ahead for the club.

Nonetheless, despite the downturn in form, Wenham has not let it dampen his spirits after a positive start to the season.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “We’ve just been very unlucky.
“We have made an incredible start to the season, with three consecutive Manager of the Month awards for Ange Postecoglou, and a couple of Player of the Month awards.
“We have just had all the luck go against us, and some of it is our own of course, you can’t make excuses for what Cristian Romero did, in terms of his sending off against Chelsea.

“Overall, there is still plenty to be positive about and I still feel incredibly confident that we will finish certainly in the top four, I just think that this is a small blip for us.”
In other Tottenham news, ex-Spurs scout Bryan King believes the club are in “real trouble” after a recent injury development.
