Tottenham eye ‘financial gain’ from Yves Bissouma as exit looms – ‘They need to sell him’
Tottenham have a dilemma over the future of Yves Bissouma ahead of the January transfer window.
Bissouma picked up an injury away from Spurs in October that has hampered his chances of making any sort of appearance under Thomas Frank.
The Mali international hasn’t helped himself with Bissouma’s off-field behaviour, which is central to an investigation after reports of various antics.
That is playing a role in deliberation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Bissouma potentially in line for a Spurs contract extension.
The winter market is set to open in just over two weeks, raising questions over the future of Bissouma and why the Lilywhites want to extend his deal.

Yves Bissouma could still sign new Tottenham deal
Tottenham want rid of Bissouma in January after what has been a frustrating spell since his highly anticipated switch from Brighton.
The 29-year-old has rarely shown his best form and has ultimately let himself down away from the pitch in North London.
His behaviour has become a problem and has played a key role in his lack of Premier League minutes so far this campaign.
That doesn’t look likely to stop Spurs from extending his deal, something which former scout Bryan King believes is for nothing more than a monetary boost.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “It’s for financial gain. He’s still under contract, so they need to sell him in January.
“People can talk to him in January. Once you offer a player an extension, it increases their value, but he hasn’t played since the summer.
“He hasn’t gone about things the right way, so I don’t get why they haven’t got him out already.
“A deal could be done in January, and he can join anyone for free in the summer, as long as he doesn’t sign a new contract.

“If he signs a new deal, it’s smart for the club, but it’s not smart for him.
“He’s not worth anything right now because he’s not playing, so Spurs have got to shift him in January if they want any money at all for him.“
Tottenham just need to let Bissouma go
There have been so many instances of issues with the midfielder that cutting ties makes the most sense this winter.
If there are any interested parties, agreeing a free transfer could make more sense than the Lilywhites looking for a fee after Bissouma signs a new deal.
The contract extension could turn away any sides willing to take a punt on the Malian, something which Tottenham can’t afford to risk, regardless of the financial benefits.
