Tottenham Expert: Richarlison to be sold as Alasdair Gold moots £60million Saudi bid
Ex-Tottenham employee Bryan King believes Richarlison will be sold this summer amid talks of a fresh bid arriving for the Brazillian from Saudi Arabia.
After a disastrous first year in North London following his arrival from Everton as part of a £60million deal (Sky Sports News, 1 July 2022), Richarlison has shown signs of improvement under Ange Postecoglou.
The Brazil international has 10 Premier League goals to his name so far this season, although reliable Spurs journalist Alasdair Gold has suggested he could be on the move this summer.
Speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham podcast (18 March), the Football London journalist had the following to say about Richarlison.
“I’m intrigued to see what happens with Richarlison this summer. All the indications seem to be that there could be another bid coming in from a Saudi club.
“Let’s say you get your money back, £60m, would you take it?”
In light of this news, King has had his say on where he feels Richarlison’s future lies.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, King said: “I think Tottenham would accept a bid for Richarlison.
“If it is the kind of money we have seen the Saudi clubs spend in the past, that could spell good news for Daniel Levy.
“I also think the move would suit Richarlison down to the ground. For me, he would be far better suited in Saudi than he would be at Tottenham next season.
“This move could also finance another big move for Tottenham in the summer.”
Will Richarlison leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Ange Postecoglou behind this summer?
Despite some signs of improvement this season, Spurs would still be wise to cash in on Richarlison this summer.
Although he has started to score more regularly, the 26-year-old has done nowhere near enough to justify his £60million pricetag in what is now almost two full seasons with Tottenham.

If Levy could recoup the majority of the fee which was paid to bring Richarlison to N17, the Spurs chairman would be wise to accept those terms.
In other Tottenham news, a pundit has been left worried after a “huge issue” cropped up in Spurs’ pursuit of one £60million-rated forward.
