Tottenham Expert reveals timeline for return of ‘standout’ Under-18 star Mikey Moore
Tottenham Under-18 star Mikey Moore will miss another “couple of weeks” of action, according to John Wenham.
Moore has been in sensational form for Spurs’ Under-18s this season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in just 10 appearances in the U18 Premier League South.
Having just recovered from an injury, Moore is once again set to spend some time on the sidelines, and Wenham has provided a timeline on the forward’s return.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “I get the impression Moore was looking to return in time for the FA Youth Cup quarter-final against Manchester City Under-18s in early March, so I think he will still be out for another couple of weeks.
“It would be a phenomenal blow to have him missing for the FA Youth Cup. He is the standout player in that group, the leader in terms of what he delivers on the pitch.
“We will need Moore on top form if we’re to have a real chance of progressing. He is the sort of player who takes a lot of hits because he is on the ball a lot, but he is tough.
“I have no doubts that he will come back and be just as good as he was before.”
Tottenham Under-18s need Moore fit and firing
There is no doubt that Moore is the gem in Spurs’ academy.
He is still only 16 years old, but he is already putting up some serious numbers at Under-18 level and continues to improve every time he steps onto the pitch.
Moore will be keen to make a return for the FA Youth Cup against Manchester City next month.

Spurs have been in fine form this season and will feel as if they have a serious chance of winning the prestigious competition.
However, they will need everyone available if they have any chance of lifting the trophy, especially Moore.
In other Tottenham news, there looks to be no way back for one Spurs loanee as he continues to struggle away from the club.
