Tottenham Expert predicts Brighton trouble ahead of Premier League showdown
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham believes Tottenham will have “too much” for Brighton when the two sides meet at the Amex Stadium on Thursday 28 December.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have rediscovered their early-season form, winning their last three matches in a row after a five-match winless streak.
Next on the agenda is a trip to the South Coast where they will take on a struggling Brighton side who are without a league win in three while having won just one of their last five home games in England’s top flight.

With their inconsistent form in mind, Wenham is confident that Spurs will make it four in a row against the Seagulls.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “For whatever reason we seem to have a good record against Brighton, home and away. We took six points off them last year, so I expect us to go there and win.
“I think the European games are catching up with them a little bit. I’ve seen some of their league results and they are starting to drop off and I am confident Tottenham will have too much for them.

“Come the end of the season I think we will finish comfortably ahead of Brighton as well. I know they’re a good side and I’ve been impressed with their recruitment, but as they continue to advance in the Europa League, more games will build up and it’s not easy, especially for a small squad like theirs.
“All it takes is for them to pick up one or two injuries and they’ll feel it.
“Therefore, not only do I think Tottenham will beat Brighton, but we will finish comfortably in front of them as well.”
In other Tottenham news, the club are working on signing a midfielder in January who they believe will complement one of their star players.
