Tottenham expert ‘delighted’ as Fabio Paratici mooted to close transfer deals
Tottenham are on track to have one of their best summer transfer windows in years, and it could be down to one man.
Daniel Levy has accelerated his interest in the transfer market this month. Eberechi Eze is close to completing his move from Crystal Palace, while Spurs are still looking to agree a fee with Manchester City for Savinho.
Meanwhile, the Lilywhites’ newest recruits are thriving. Joao Palhinha was formidable in the UEFA Super Cup final against PSG, and Mohammed Kudus shone for Spurs against Burnley in their first Premier League win of the season.
But Spurs are not done, and there’s only one man who can get these final deals over the line.

This article includes exclusive comments from Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham.
Fabio Paratici tipped to secure more good deals for Tottenham
In January 2023, Fabio Paratici was handed a 30-month ban from football-related activities due to financial irregularities.
The Italian has since served his ban and has a consultancy contract with Tottenham until the end of this summer transfer window.
- Paratici served as Managing Director of Football at Tottenham from June 2021 until his resignation in April 2023
- Johan Lange now oversees several of his former duties
As reported by Football London on 14 August, Paratici is expected to return to Spurs in a more official capacity eventually.
The Italian has been credited with some phenomenal market business in the past. And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes fans could see more of that soon.
“I’m delighted Paratici’s come back,” Wenham said.
“And when you look at our better signings over the last couple of years, these have all been heavily influenced by Paratici and his network of contacts, ability to speak with agents and get good deals for Tottenham.
“So hopefully we can see some more of that soon as well.”

Who are some of Paratici’s best signings?
Paratici has been vital in Spurs’ recruitment over the years, with several of his signings still a massive feature in the squad.
Cristian Romero is undoubtedly his most successful signing. After a successful loan spell, the Argentine was signed in 2022. He has gone on to be Man of the Match in the UEFA Europa League final and is now the current captain at Spurs.
Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur are two notable names. The Swede had a rocky beginning in North London but has since become one of their best-performing players when deployed in the midfield.
| Name | Date permanently signed |
| Cristian Romero | Summer, 2022 |
| Dejan Kulusevski | Summer, 2023 |
| Rodrigo Bentancur | Summer, 2022 |
| Destiny Udogie | Summer, 2022 |
Equally, Bentancur was saddled with injury woes for a period, which prevented him from hitting his best form at Spurs. However, these past two seasons have seen him revived, and he’s now a consistent starter for Thomas Frank.
With the summer window still open, Tottenham can expect another couple of great signings before 1 September.
