Tottenham Expert ‘confident’ ahead of trip to Nottingham Forest on Friday
Tottenham News is delighted to welcome John Wenham of Lilywhite Rose as our exclusive columnist. Each week, he’ll be giving his expert insight on the biggest talking points at Spurs…
John Wenham is “confident” that Tottenham can record back-to-back Premier League wins when they travel to Nottingham Forest on Friday 15 December.
After a dreadful few weeks which saw the club embark on a five-match winless run, Spurs finally got back to winning ways with an emphatic 4-1 victory at home against top-four rivals Newcastle United on Sunday 10 December.
It was a performance which would have seen the confidence return to Hotspur Way the next morning, and one the players will look to build on when they travel up north for some Friday night Premier League action.

Ahead of Spurs’ meeting with Nottingham Forest, Wenham has spoken about the game and his confidence going into it.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Wenham said: “We looked much better against Newcastle, and I am expecting the same line-up to be named. Pape Matar Sarr’s athleticism and movement was crucial in midfield, and he was able to bring out the best in Yves Bissouma as well.
“Tottenham must be travelling up to Nottingham tonight looking to get another win and build some space between themselves and those teams just below them such as Manchester United, Brighton and Newcastle
“A lot of the Spurs players will be flying high after that Newcastle game, such as Richarlison after he got his two goals.

“Forest are a better side than a lot of people suggest. They beat Aston Villa at The City Ground recently and Morgan Gibbs-White is a very good player who could cause Spurs problems.
“However, I fully expect Tottenham to score first tonight and if you want to make some free money, get your mortgage on it because that’s what we seem to do this season. I’m very confident that we will then score a couple more goals and win comfortably.”
In other Tottenham news, Daniel Levy has produced a masterstroke as an 87 per cent ace flies high under Ange Postecoglou.
